Because we are Experiential Educators, we know intimately about the particular rewards and challenges of traveling with students. Our itineraries are designed with students’ interests and perspectives in mind and our guides are experts in helping them to build resilience and reflect on and understand what they experience. We strive to make the planning and execution of the Expedition as stress-free as possible for teachers. Why us? We know students and we know travel with students and that insight is the heart of what we do.
We provide a travel immersion into new worlds, cultures and contexts, where meaningful and lasting footprints are created by students, teachers, and the local communities hosting them.

E&E is operated by teachers for teachers to benefit your students.
We understand that taking a group of students across the world is logistically challenging and a great responsibility. We also know that you want to invest your time into the most student-centered, immersive, and educational experience available. This is our goal.
We want you and your students to expand your comfort zones: to discover new cultures, customs, people, and foods and to understand the biodiversity and ecosystems of our planet.
WHO WE ARE
E&E is led by a fantastic team of explorers and career teachers, passionate about and having vast experience in travel and creating experiential learning opportunities for young people. E&E is built upon the vast experience of Chill Expeditions, a singular and groundbreaking Educational Travel Agency that was forced to close down during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Under the wing of Crawford Hill, a team formed by his collaborators, guides and employees have decided to carry the flame of Expedition mentality and continue under a new banner: E&E Expeditions.
Originally from France, Sam lived, studied, and worked in the US before he began He has worked on expeditions for Jean Michel Cousteau, in the commercial diving industry as well as in Marine Operations on a number of documentaries and is still to this day. Sam is a and a training coordinator for the US Marines, the US Army, and the US Navy with particular emphasis on sea survival and helicopter crash survival.
Sam has co-owned and managed a small school in Spain for the last 18 years and, of course, he is an avid traveler and a Sam is passionate about exploration and sharing knowledge with new generations. Through thoughtful guidance,
As an Michelle believes in the importance of helping students get a and come to understand that while people across the globe may see and do things slightly differently, they have a lot in common and have things to teach us. In this spirit, Michelle also works with Montessori Model United Nations and travels as often as possible.
Michelle is and is a firm believer that through carefully planned expeditions we can help open students’ minds and hearts to exploration and understanding of the world and its ecosystems
Chill guided wilderness expeditions starting in 1974. Chill’s interest in wilderness exploration, environmental conservation, and the human cultural ecosystem was stimulated by formative travel experiences in his youth, among them epic backpacking trips along the Appalachian, John Muir, and Pacific Crest Trails, among many more ranges. Chill was soon leading his own trips with family, friends, colleagues, and, eventually, students.
For 35 years he taught and coached students and led student travel.
Although Chill has no organizational relationship with E&E, he remains our mentor and a source of inspiration for all our team and collaborators.
